Guarantee

Two years on everything, counted from the day the box arrives. Nothing to register and no card to keep.

The short version

Everything we sell is covered for twenty-four months, starting the day it lands rather than the day you wrote to us. Cover attaches by itself — no card to post back, no serial number to log, no account to hold it against.

A claim needs your order reference and two photographs. We pay whatever it costs to move a faulty item, in both directions, and an answer reaches you the next working day from support@syphrix.com. Where something cannot be put right, the law sets the order in which the remaining options apply, and that order is set out further down this page.

Where the cover comes from

Not from us being generous. Consumer goods sold anywhere in the European Union carry a guarantee of conformity under Directive (EU) 2019/771, which Spain has written into its own consumer legislation, and that is what you are relying on here.

The party on the hook is the seller, which is FLOFUM, S.L. of Barcelona, trading as Syphrix. So a failed kettle is an argument with us, not a letter to a factory in another country and not a warranty portal in a language you do not read.

Stripped of the legal phrasing it amounts to this: the thing has to match how it was described, and it has to keep working for as long as you could reasonably expect. Where it does not, sorting that out is our job.

What counts as a fault

A pan base that warps on an ordinary hob. A handle that works loose in normal use. A kettle element that fails. A clip lid whose gasket perishes inside the two years. A sealer that runs but never pulls a vacuum.

In the first two years the law presumes a fault was there from the start, so you do not have to prove anything — that burden is ours.

What it does not cover

Wear that comes from use rather than a defect: vacuum bags going cloudy or scratched, a non-stick surface worn by metal utensils, discolouration from a dishwasher when the item is marked hand-wash. Accidental damage and misuse are also outside it — a slicer run through frozen food, a pan left empty on a high flame.

A scratched bag is not a faulty sealer. The piece on keeping food longer covers what to do about that.

How to claim

Email support@syphrix.com with your order reference, a sentence on what the item is doing, and two photographs: one of the whole item, one close on the problem. Most claims are settled from the photographs alone, without sending anything back.

Where an item does need to come to us, we book the collection and pay for it. You are never asked to fund the carriage on something faulty.

The order of remedies

The law sets a sequence and we follow it. Repair or replacement first, whichever is quicker and less trouble for you. If neither is possible, or either would take an unreasonable time, then a price reduction or a full refund — your choice between the two.

Refunds go by bank transfer to an account you nominate, since the original payment was cash to a driver.

Beyond two years

The legal guarantee ends, but write to us anyway. Spare gaskets, lids and handles are often still available, usually for the cost of the part, and a pot that wants a new lid is not a pot that needs replacing.
